Satan is Eternally Defeated

Satan has been eternally defeated by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but very few Christians realize it. It is time for the Body of Christ to take the Sword of the Spirit and take what belongs to them as Children of The Most High.

God planned that when the Church came into being, it would be composed of His Sons and Daughters, that they would be demon masters and world rulers. They were to rule every circumstance and situation just like Jesus did when He walked the earth.

Many Christians have been taught just the opposite. They live their lives in poverty and want and feel they are too unworthy to have their prayers answered. Through wrong teaching of the Word of God the Body of Christ has cultivated a sense of unworthiness that has robbed them of spiritual initiative and kept them in a state of bondage, fear, ignorance and sin.

Most Believers act like the sin problem has never been settled. However it was settled two thousand years ago. The problem is the Church has never taken advantage of what Jesus purchased.

We as the Body of Christ must learn who we are In Christ and take our place. Jesus said in John 15, “I am the vine and ye are the branches…” We are the branches of Christ, a part of Christ, Himself. We come forth out of Christ our Lord. He calls us the branch and the branch is where the fruit grows. We should be bearing fruit daily.

We are the Redeemed. Satan no longer has a right to rule over us or keep us from our inheritance. “We are not only delivered OUT OF SATAN’S DOMINION, but we have been TRANSLATED INTO THE KINGDOM OF THE SON OF HIS LOVE.” Colossians 1:13. We have as much right to enter into the presence of God as Jesus has, because it is His Blood that purchased that right for us. He told us to “come boldly to the Throne of Grace”. If we are to come boldly, that means we are to walk right in with our head held high and fellowship with our Father anytime we want to. We have this privilege because Jesus has taken our sin and gave us His Righteousness.

Satan is no longer our Master. He has been defeated by our Lord Jesus and will always be defeated. Once Jesus shed His Blood for man’s redemption and sealed the New Covenant, it became as permanent as God’s Eternal Word. Nothing can change it! Jesus is, and always will be the Undisputed Victor and Satan is the ETERNALLY DEFEATED ONE. If we could only grasp this truth what a dynamic force we would be in the earth today.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, for we wrestle not against flesh and flood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”. Ephesians 6:10-12

Our combat is not a mental one, nor a physical one. It is a spiritual combat and we must use spiritual weapons. No spiritual battle is fought by physical self denial or a mental struggle. We win by recognizing the victory of Jesus over Satan, and make our stand with Jesus. “And having spoiled (disarmed, stripped) principalities and powers, he (Jesus) made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them (Satan and every demon) in it”. Colossians 2:15. Jesus defeated Satan in front of all his demons and took from him the Keys of Authority. Jesus then gave the authority to the Church, His Body. We are seated with Christ in Heavenly places and have His authority to overcome the spiritual battles we face in this life.

“And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, far above ALL principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come; And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body…” Ephesians 1:23

If Jesus is the Head of the Body, and all things are under His feet, and He has all authority over every power, then we have the same power, because we are the Body and we are seated with Him. The same life that flows in the vine is the same life that flows in the branch. We are One Body, Christ being the Head. What is under Jesus’ feet is under our feet. The problem is we don’t realize it and never use our authority to defeat our enemy.

People should realize that being born again and being in the Family of God does not mean there will never be any battles to fight. In fact, the Devil is out to kill, steal or destroy every Child of God he can. Now, I am not saying he can steal your redemption, but if you don’t know who you are in Christ, and you don’t know the what Jesus purchased for you, and if you don’t know what God’s Word says, then you are easy prey for Satan. Let me tell you this, “Satan does not have any sympathy for you, he will take advantage at every opportunity you give him”. Jesus has defeated Satan, but it is up to each Saint of God to enforce that defeat, and we do that with the Word of God. “They defeated him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb, and by their testimony (confession).” Revelations 12:11 (LB).

Without the Word of God in our spirits and in our mouth which is our Sword, we will forfeit the battle every time, by allowing our mental or physical to dictate how the battle is going. Satan directs your attention to whatever situation you may be facing and tells you “nothing has changed, it isn’t going to work this time, or he will say, you don’t have enough faith”. These are lies and must be recognized as lies if you are to win. Never agree with what Satan tells you. Proverbs 6:2 says, “Thou are snared with the words of thy mouth, thou are taken (captive) with the words of thy mouth”. God tells us to watch our words, He also tells us to do something with our minds. “Casting down imagination, and every high thing that exalth itself against the knowledge of God and bring into captivity every thought unto the obedience of Christ.” II Corinthians 10:5. When thoughts bombard your mind, cast them down, they are not your thoughts, therefore don’t agree with them.

Remember this when in the heat of a battle. You and Jesus are One, He is on your side, He is not mad at you. He loves you and gave His life for you. God is not holding back the blessings or any answer you need. God through Jesus Christ has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. Every Child of God has access to every thing needed to win in this life. The key to success must be in your heart and in your mouth. It’s called THE WORD OF GOD.

Our inheritance cannot be matched, cannot be exhausted and it is at our disposal. We have the Keys to unlock the treasure room, therefore, the next time you are challenged by Satan remember, you are the winner because the Greater One is abiding with you, therefore, the only one who can keep you from receiving is you. Be on your guard when Satan comes around. Put the Sword in your mouth and put the defeated Satan in his place…UNDER YOUR FEET!
