Mission Accomplished

When Jesus came to earth His agenda was to accomplish three important missions.

The first mission was to be the Sacrificial Lamb that would redeem mankind and at the same time destroy Satan’s authority over God’s creation, man. The second mission was to reveal the love of God toward man, and the third mission He was to accomplish was to equip the Church with authority and power so they could continue His work in the earth. We as the Body of Christ are to do what Jesus did, in other words we are to become the hands, feet and mouth of Jesus in the earth today. We continue His work in His absence.

There are many Believers today that are unaware of the fact they are actually free from Satan’s authority. They have never understood the Victory Jesus won for them when He defeated Satan.

Colossians 2:15(KJ)

“And having spoiled (disarmed) principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

He was and is the perfect will of the Father. God revealed Himself to mankind through Jesus’ words and acts. Jesus tells us that if we want to know who the Father is, what He is like, and what His will is for each of us we are to look at Him. Jesus fulfilled the will of God the Father in every area of His ministry in such a way that you would think it was the Father, Himself ministering in the earth.

John 14:9

“…..he that has seen me hath seen the Father…”

We only need to look at Jesus during His earth life and ministry and know the Father’s will in every situation of life. There are many Christians along with non-believers that believe that God brings sickness, disease, poverty and natural disasters. I ask you to look at the life of Jesus. In His life on earth, did He do any of these things? If you have to answer, “No” then why would anyone think God is doing these things today? The answer is He isn’t, Satan is and he is doing a good job of pointing the finger at God, and getting people to blame God

The Four Gospels reveals the Father’s will for man, and the Epistles tells us of our rights, privileges, and responsibilities that are ours as a child of God. We get a revelation of what it means to be a member of God’s Family.

We as Children of the Great Father God have a standing in Heaven provided by and through the Blood of Jesus. Very few Christians ever walk in the fullness of the blessings, but we should strive to learn about it and take advantage of it.

As the Church, the Body of Christ, we are to continue the ministry of Jesus here on earth, and do it with the same authority Jesus had, because we have been given the privilege of taking the gospel to the world. He has given the Body of Christ, His name to use, and we are to use it with the authority it carries. When we minister in the Name of Jesus, it is the same as if Jesus were ministering. Jesus gave us His authority, and His Name to use in His absence.

John 14:12 (LB)

“In solemn truth I tell you, anyone believing in me shall do the same miracles I have done, and even greater ones, because I am going to be with the Father”.

John 14:13-14 (LB)

“You can ask Him (God) for anything using my name (Jesus), and I will do it, for this will bring praise to the Father because of what I, the Son will do for you.”

John 16:23 (LB)

“At that time (after His death and resurrection) you won’t need to ask me for anything, for you can go directly to the Father and ask Him and He will give you what you ask for because you use my name”.

John 15:16 (LB)

“You didn’t choose me! I chose you! I appointed you to go and produce lovely fruit always, so that no matter what you ask for from the Father, using my name, He will give it to you”.

I have listed several scriptures that prove that we are to use the name of Jesus and continue His work in the earth. We are to use His name to cast out devils, in praying for the sick, in our personal prayers, and petitions and if we do Jesus promised that we will receive.

Jesus Name is the only Name that is recognized in Heaven, the only Name that gets the ear of Father God, and His Name has been given to every Child of God, to use here on earth and before the Throne of God. If the Church could get a glimpse of their rights and authority that was purchased by Jesus’ Blood, they would no longer walk in defeat

Very few Christians realize that Jesus purchased their freedom and translated them into God’s Family, right now, not when we get to Heaven. As a Child of God you are as much a part of God’s Family now as you will be when you get to Heaven. Death here only means you have changed your residence.

“Who hath delivered us (the Believer) from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son.”

Every Believer should take the Name of Jesus and continue His work on the earth until Jesus returns. We take what has been given to us, which is Jesus’ Name and get busy. Too long the Church has been in a slumber when it comes to taking their place and defeating the works of Satan. Jesus has actually defeated Satan for us, but we must enforce that defeat in our lives if we are going to keep the victory Jesus purchased.

Much of the Church is following in the pathway of the unbeliever. They spent more time and effort working on their physical body, climbing the latter of success than they do on their spiritual man and it has produced depression, sickness and defeat in every area of their lives

The world thinks Christians are foolish people serving an empty dream. They want to stamp out everything and anything that has to do with Jesus, God, the Blood of Jesus, Salvation and the Holy Spirit. Shame on us for allowing this to creep into the Church! We have allowed this to become a stronghold in many churches because of watered down sermons preached with no power. In many pulpits today you hear preached whatever will draw a crowd, and most of the time it isn’t the Word of God. People are being taught the only thing they have to do to become a Child of God is attend church and give money. Money has replaced faith, therefore the listeners think giving money is the answer to every need and it will purchase the answer to their prayer. Money does not impress God, and it certainly won’t purchase you a place in Heaven. Listen, the word of God says, “Ye must be born again” therefore, you must choose to act on God’s Word. Jesus has made the way, but you have to choose His way and that is a choice and an act of your will. Just going to church will not get you to Heaven or in the Family of God. There is only one way to God and that is through Jesus Christ, and His shed blood. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, NO man cometh to the Father except through me.” John 14:16. Being good won’t get you there, giving money won’t get you there, crying and begging won’t get you there. Only a repentant heart, accepting the finished work of Jesus, and receiving Him as Lord and Savior will get you an audience with Father God. It is the Blood of Jesus on the Mercy Seat that speaks on our behalf.

Let Us Follow David's Example

What a power house the Church could be if we had been told who we are in Christ for the past fifty years.

Where are the church services of old were the power and presence of God are so heavy on the service you feel as though you have been lifted into Heaven and are standing in God’s presence. I have been in many like services in times past. I think what Christians are missing today, but how can they know if they have never experienced His Glory in worship to the degree that you don’t think you can stand up because His Presence is all around you, you are lifted up in the spirit, surrounded by His Presence. Once you have experienced this for yourself you will understand what David was saying in Psalms 42:1-2 (LB)

“As the deer pants for water, so I long for you, O God, I thirst for God, the living God. Where can I find Him to come and stand before Him.”

The Child of God must spend time with God, reading the Word, praising Him on a one to one basis. Don’t allow someone to spoon feed you. Get alone with God and let Him reveal Himself, and His Word to you. It will be well worth your time.
