ABUNDANTLY BLESSED

I wonder if most Christians know how abundantly blessed they are to have a Heavenly Father that wants them to enjoy all He has provided.

If I should ask you “what would you like Jesus to do for you, what are the desires of your heart?” You might say “I need healing, I want to prosper, I want to have peace in my life” perhaps you would say, “I want to live in the pin point of God’s will, to enjoy the fullness of all God promised in His Word”. You could ask thousands of Christians this same question and almost 100% would say they have a need or desire that they would like God to fulfill. Very few would say, “I don’t need a thing, because God has abundantly blessed me”.

Why are there so few Christians being blessed? Is it because God has favorites? No, and if you have studied the Word you know that Acts 10:34 says “God is no respecter of persons” God loves every child the same, but if you believe God loves one more than another you will NEVER have the faith to receive any part of your inheritance. The main reason most Christians don’t walk in the abundant blessings that belongs to every Child of God is because they don’t know they have an inheritance. First things first, you must know that your inheritance exist, and what it contains, before you can enjoy it. Second, not only know what is in it, but also know it belongs to YOU. Because people live in such a busy world, and their time is in constant demand, I don’t think most Christians take the time to study the Word of God, and they are totally in the dark when it comes to knowing what Jesus died to give them. They have no conception of the glorious blessings made available to every Child of God through the death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Knowing the price that was paid to give us these blessings we should never allow the Devil to keep us so busy with other things that we fail to spend time in the Word and in prayer. Have you ever noticed that almost every time you start to read the Bible or enter into prayer and worship, the phone will ring or something else will come up that needs your attention? Satan doesn’t want you to spend time with God because he knows you will find out that he has been defeated and is no longer in charge of your life. Satan wants to keep every Child of God living far below their rights and privileges, and one of the ways he accomplishes his objective is by keeping us from growing in the knowledge of God’s Word. Therefore, if we want to enjoy what is ours in Christ, and win in the battles of life, we have to be more determined to win, than the Devil is in defeating us. The Bible says we are the head and not the tail, we are above and not beneath. That is what God says about us, and we need to start agreeing with Him instead of what the Devil says. Stop looking up to see bottom, and start looking down from the seat you have in Christ, which is, believe it or not, “in heavenly places”

Ephesians 2:6

“And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus”

Ephesians 1:3

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ”.

Not only are we made to sit with Christ, we also have Heavenly blessings given to us, and those blessings are good and perfect gifts.

James 1:16-17

“Do not err, (be misled), my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness (no deviation, change), neither shadow of turning.”

Scripture says “every good and perfect gift comes from above”. What good and perfect gift do you need? Scripture says it comes from God, so start looking for the gifts of love, peace, joy, grace, healing, prosperity, just to name a few blessings that He wants to give you right now in this life.

We are encouraged to take the time to enter His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise, and we should do this daily. There is nothing in this world more important than spending time in the presence of our Father, and we should take every opportunity we have talking things over with Him. The more you talk with God the clearer His voice will become, and the light on your path will become brighter so you don’t stumble along the way.

Colossians 1:12-13

“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath (has) made us meet (fit) to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.”

If you are a child of God, you have been translated into the Kingdom, or Family of God, with family rights, privileges, and responsibilities. You are just as much a son or daughter of God now as you will be when you get to heaven. If Believers could take hold of this and accept it by faith, it would make receiving easy. Listen, going to Heaven doesn’t mean God will love you more when you get there, it only means you have a new address. Look at it this way. If you had a son overseas fighting the war, would you love him any less just because he wasn’t at home, of course not, and God doesn’t love us any less just because our work isn’t finished here, and we haven’t made it home yet.

III John 2

“Beloved, I wish above ALL THINGS that thou (you) mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”.

If you are one who may need healing, here is the will of God in your situation. It is God’s will and desire that you be well. Make no mistake about it. Jesus took your sickness on the cross just like He took your sins. He has set you free. All you have to do is accept it just like you accepted the new birth. By faith!

Matthew 6:33

“But seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God; and ALL THESE THINGS shall be added to you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s GOOD PLEASURE TO GIVE YOU THE KINGDOM”.

What things is he talking about in this scripture? Things you will receive when you get to heaven? NO! Read verses 25-34. He is talking about things you have need of in this life. I want you to notice we don’t have to beg and cry to get God to provide for us. He said it is His good pleasure to give to us, but He does tell us to put Him first, He said, “seek FIRST the Kingdom of God”, and these things(abundant blessings) will be added. Therefore, I encourage you to study God’s Word and each time you read a promise in the Bible, receive it, it belongs to you, it is your inheritance, paid for with the blood of Jesus, just for you.
